Meanwhile, one oil tanker has gone through the Trait of Hormuz, and France is saying that they are going to use their forces defensively to help reopen it.
The issue national forces might face it that the "closure" is being done more by the insurance companies that the Iranians. Iran issues a threat and maybe hits a few tankers (compared to the numbers that normally pass through the waterway and the insurance companies no longer like the risk and say "no".

So might work with escorts but might need somebody to underwrite the insurance risk as those tanker spass close to 25 miles wide in places and it doesn't take long for a missile to travel that distance ... So will the insurance companies believe that these military forces are really making it safe or are there still higher risks?

nb above are my thoughts as I'm no military expert nor insurance expert and happy for people to tell me I'm wrong.

Lloyds are the biggest underwriters of marine insurance. They stopped offering cover last week.

Trump has offered naval cover and is arranging US insurance for ships.

This could be disastrous for Lloyds if US insurance gets a foothold

Blame starmer for dithering

So as you are here, do you concur?
Well if they did make silicone chips, computers would be much more flexible.

"Silicone" refers to siloxanes basically (the latter being a slightly more generic term). These are polymers where the backbone is Si-O-Si-O and various organic groups dangle off the sides.

Silicon is an element. It is carbon's big brother.
