@CXRAndy do you have the same username on the cycling forum?

I’m struggling to reconcile how someone who appears reasonably measured on that side, can be so risible in NACA.

It’s because the other forum is heavily moderated and MAndy knows he has to play by the rules.
Here there’s no moderation, so what you get is pretty much his true self: a narcissistic nazi.
He would proudly wear Trumps soiled nappies if he could.

I think it might be more he sees a chance to wind people up on this side and people keep falling for it.

I honestly think he's just bored. Who has the time to go on social media and post links all day on a forum that nobody is listening to you on?

I'm trying to remember if you were one of the sensible people who got drawn into Manc33's alternative (laws-of-physics-denying) universe... though, to be fair, that was all his own work, and mostly good natured. But it was fun and fascinating observing how he drew people in and the attempts to argue logically with him.

Tbh, I took his side to stoke the fires.
Maybe I should be ashamed. 😉

This is a fake, apparently. Wrong font, for a start.

To me highlights the ludicrous situation where the US seems to me making massive requests, demands, trade/taxation changes, etc. through informal social media.

Are these requests being made through normal diplomatic channels. My understanding is that normal diplomatic channels tend to incur some small delay) eg Trümp passes request to US diplomats who communicate with their opposite parties (eg UK diplomats) who pass the request back up to deciding authority, etc. Where Trümp just shouts some demand or threat out on his own social media platform.

I'd guess that the rest of the world's governments are both having to deal with some of each ('social media diplomacy' and via normal channels), but wouldn't reveal what they're having to contend with. I'd equally suspect that someone as reprehensible as Rubio is having to try to turn tweets into some sort of coherent policy on the hoof, instead of owning up that Trump is away with the fairies.

No, he kind of passed me by somehow.
