The "deal" as reported. Sounds like Iran has "won" to me. All this for what was happening anyway, and Iran gets it's $20Bn back.

1. A three-page agreement to end the conflict
2. $20 billion in funds released to Iran
3. Transfer of some highly enriched uranium to a third country
4. Down-blending of remaining material under international monitoring
5. Permission for Iran to maintain nuclear research reactors for medical isotopes
6. A requirement that all nuclear facilities be above ground

This could all have been avoided if it wasn't for Donnie's petulance in ripping up Obama's deal.

Obama didn't act in good faith either. The day after the nuclear deal was agreed including sanctions relief Obama's government introduced a rule that excluded anyone who travelled to Iran from the ESTA program. So, say, a French employee of Total who travelled to Iran to work on an oil project would then need a visa to travel to the US.

The side effect was that a lot of the expected development of Iranian oil following sanctions lifting was suddenly dropped, because it became clear that the US was not really going to be allowed to be lifted in any practical form.

Deaths on all sides, billions spent directly, billions more due to additional costs and lost trade ten after 6 weeks discuss a slightly worse plan than was in place at the start. I can now see how Trump’s negotiating and business skills left him with bankrupt casinos.

American relations are also worried about the physical condition of their loved ones. If media reports are to be believed, the US military is running out of food and troops are having to ration what little they are given.
Food parcels sent by relatives can’t get through because US Postal Service (yes, I am looking at you Lance) have suspended services.

The side effect was that a lot of the expected development of Iranian oil following sanctions lifting was suddenly dropped, because it became clear that the US was not really going to be allowed to be lifted in any practical form.

This seems like fannying around the edges to me. Iran had China and India to seek investment from. And they were sticking to the deal regardless, supposedly.
