So my apologies. I may have been led to a position of jumping the shark. Whatever the true position I assure I did not intend to misinform.

Couldn't remember whether you'd said you were a member or whether I was confusing you with your late aunt.

It never occured to me that their might be intent; just trying to understand exactly where they were.

Had a spat with a far right wing expat on another forum who insisted that various news reports in MSM meant ZP was the approved (prospective) candidate. All MSM stuff seemed to be drawn from Polanski's interview with a local paper which in reality said he'd 'allow his name to go forward'. Not sure he's said anything on the record since.

Some reports, the New Statesman in particular, suggest that for a number of reasons his candidacy is not a foregone conclusion.

Monkers was a long term member but then quit suddenly in about 2018 and rejoined a couple of years later to the best of my memory. I was a member for a short while too, but also quit and joined another party. I joined the Greens again a while back. I'll reconsider when the subscription is due.

UPDATE: Apparently this seems to be the timeline for the Green Party candidate selection.

Selection Ballot
Voting will open at approximately 5pm on Thursday 10th September, a couple of hours before this hustings. Camden Green Party members will be emailed instructions on how to vote, along with information about candidates.

Voting will end at the close of the selection hustings meeting, expected to be around 8.45 or 9pm on Thursday 10th September.

Declaration of result
The result will be declared on the morning of Friday 11th September.

I voted Green in the last local election. First time I've voted since 1984, apart from 'none of the above'.
My hope was to put some wind up the local Labour hegemony. Close but no cigar.

Zach. P. seems a decent guy, but I worry about the credibility gap between the talkin an the walkin.

Never one to miss an opportunity for publicity, George Galloway has decided to stand.
This will be a massive distraction and will also make the Green’s task of winning even harder. As it will split the vote.

I was gutted when the Greens stood against the local community group in Ealing - the ward where I'm moving to. Neither won.
