Mum warns of 'botched' £150 filler that cost £700 to fix

"Joanne Bauer, 48, said she chose a £150 treatment she spotted on social media after being quoted about £495 elsewhere, and later had to spend more than £700 having it corrected.
"I wished I'd done some more homework" the finance director from Altrincham, Greater Manchester, said."

Further down the article : "However, she said the cheap price was central to her decision."

I'm not CIMA/ACCA qualified, but I do know that spending £150 on a provided service; and then having to spend a further 370% to rectify said provided service, is a poor use of capital/money.

I'm just left wondering why she bothered in the first place.

"....but began looking at further treatments because she felt she looked tired after having her second child."

We have, it would appear, to have an answer to the question : What price vanity?

And it's men too. According to the BBC getting fillers in your willy is becoming popular.

I'm not going to search for the link, because I don't want the 'cloud' drawing inferences about me.

Hopefully she’ll take the lesson that going for the cheap option isn’t always best into her business life. There are a lot of company accountants / FDs that could do with that lesson.

Maybe more hypocrisy (but not worth starting a new thread)

Reform MP raises concerns about second homes – then buys one for £800,000

Sarah Pochin bought Anglesey property two days after writing to minister about impact of second home ownership on rural communities

A Reform UK MP bought an £800,000 second home on a picturesque Welsh island two days after raising concerns in parliament about the impact of second homes on rural communities.

Link doesn't work for me. The article I read said she claimed it wasn't a second home as family members live there permanently.
However she already owns a second home on Anglesey - she doesn't dispute that her first second home is a second home.

Need a tax expert to sort this out then. Is that benefits in kind for the residents, or tax due on the rent then?

Checked the link and it is reporting she raised the issue of impacts from 2nd homes 2 days before buying the Anglesey home (as in the bit of text I included in the quote).
