The fact that a person I've blocked is responding to my posts indicates he knows he's a troll.

You're behaving with a closed mind attitude, blocking a particular person, in this case me. It matters not to me personally whether or not you ignore me. Your exhibiting classic left wing snobbery, thinking you're superior.

Carry on blowing your trumpet, and I'll do my thing 👌

No.

The site is now just spammed and trolled by Poundshop actual fascists. Just endless mindless shite of utter mindless morons, occasionally interspersed by decent people who are posting less and less.

I'm not engaging further.

Sounds like you're doing a flounce because not enough people agree with you. You'll always find different opinions on forums, so if you can't handle that, maybe go set up a political discussion forum for leftie and wokey cyclists only so you can have a nice little echo chamber.

How dare people express different views to someone - its causing them trauma and anxiety to read that people hold different views to others.
Imagine a news, current affairs & politics forum where people dare to express differing views instead of all agreeing on everything.

Some may say this is yet another attempt to censor views that are different.

No one is forcing anyone to post on here. If you don't like hearing differing views then a news, current affairs and politics unmoderated forum is probably not the best place to frequent
It's not about censoring anybody. It's perpetual Twitter links to vestec interests people spouting lies (untrue facts) that takw <20 secs to establish as twaddle. And again, and again, and again, etc.

Then some feel it important to point out that A.N.Other Unknown on Twitter has said something easily established as rubbish, and again, and again, and again.

Nothing to discuss, only response possible is "Complete twaddle, just took at the data.

And some twaddle is not subject to personal stance (eg. Ukraine did not start war with Russia, Trump did not win the 2020 elections,, etc.

If you actually read stuff Monkers is terminally ill and may be approaching the end.

By 'work' I just mean there's less rubbish to skip over. I don't care what shít they post, it only gets tedious when there are scrolls of pointless replies. You're only putting glitter on a turd.
It's an interesting aspect as if one just puts the troll on "Ignore then things become much easier. It's the pages of "Rubbish" and "Check your facts" and "This is not the case it you do even trivial research", etc. that make each thread just tiresome and interesting, challenging, etc. posts just get lost swamped by pages of feeding the troll.

I find it helpful having my views and beliefs challenged, Allows one to develop views as more information is presented. "Changing one's views" is very binary and I think for most things in life it's a continuum and everybodies position on each continuum is contunially moving based of inputs. At worst at least one gets to appreciat the reasons behing why others hold their views and the challenges they face.

So all for open discussion but pages of some click collector on Twitter spouting twaddle followed by loads of "thats's not the case", "Check your facts", etc., etc. don't challenge anything and don't present and information (just fiction).

Isn't it better to post about something that interests you rather than posting about everything/everyone being boring?
I would agree, problem comes is soon after Troll starts with click bait embedded Twitter content and the "That's not the case", "Check your facts", etc. starts and your post is swamped with the perpetual pantomime exchanges so you waste time ploughing through thos eposts to see if anybody has added sensible comment or adding anything interesting to the dicsussion but many who do post useful content also can't be bothered to wade though endless panto posts so don't get to see the actual discussion so interesting, useful, challenging discussion is destroyed.

I haven't blocked anyone. But the usual suspects haven't yet surprised me by posting anything intelligent.

I find this guff about "different viewpoints" a load of rubbish. These are not different points of view, trolls are mentally disturbed, all conspiracy theorists are mentally disturbed, that's why they believe in conspiracies. They commonly exhibit narcissistic tendencies, a desire to prove they have some unique insight or knowledge that only they possess (and anyone who does not agree is a sheep who cannot see 'reality'). Sane people by definition believe in, and can understand, objective truth. I do feel sorry for them to some extent, they are usually highly sugestible and in some kind of distress and confusion as to how to make sense of the world so they fall down the rabbit hole in a bid to make sense of the world. Then like little lemmings they all jump off the cliff one after the other 😂
