Keith Flett is on good form:-
...On Saturday 9th August the Met Police say that they arrested 474 people (or it might be 532- look do you expect the Met to know what its doing?) for protesting largely under a Defend Our Juries basis for mentioning words about Palestine that Yvette Cooper the Home Secretary thinks should not be mentioned. Keeping in mind that the Met are incompetent, can’t add up and tend to, er, lose evidence, that is still a significant number out of the 800+ who attended that particular protest. In one of the biggest exercises of wasting police time and resources in recent years (The Met are specialists) police from a wide area including Wales appear to have been despatched to central London. Good news for those committing actual crimes elsewhere on the day...

That's one way to spin it. This clearly omits the fact that
1. They were aware of the law and deliberately sought to breach the law
2. "Palestine Action" are a proscribed terrorist organisation
3. The "words about Palestine" were their demonstrating support for a proscribed terrorist organisation

If they believe the law is wrong, then the appropriate course of action is to campaign to change the law. It is not appropriate to deliberately break the laws you do not agree with. That is anarchy

Given this is a cycling related forum, would those who support the breaking of this law also support motorists who run over cyclists because they do not believe cyclists should be allowed to ride on the road.

Whether the proscribing of "Palestine Action" is right or wrong in your or my opinion is irrelevant to what the law currently is

A basic summary - The law is an ass.
It is entirely possible to be equally against what is happening in Palestine and Palestine Action.

Deflection.

The post I replied to implied that because eight out of more than five hundred arrests were for reasons other than the content of a placard, then we couldn't say that the arrests followed a peaceful demonstration.

Do you think protesting against the law is not a means to effect a change in the law?

It absolutely is and that is why those idiots deliberately carrying banners and placards stating they support "Palestine Action" deserve to be arrested and do those who oppose what is happening in Palestine no favours be deflecting attention from Palestine to their support for a proscribed terrorist organisation

Yes, your post is a good deflection from the fact that your so called "words of support for Palestine" were actually a deliberate criminal act and showing support for a proscribed terrorist organisation

Lefties getting a taste of government bias, shocking isn't it.
