Ah come along with an Amazon box, a sharpie, and a flask of tea and lemon drizzle cake.

Yep.

And advice to bring water, sun protection, a hat, some cash (no bank cards or other identifying material), to not use the duty solicitor if arrested etc etc., to remain in a seated, non-violent posture, not to interact with anyone during the protest, whether press, supporters or counter protestors.

I’m sure you will have noticed long before now that the favourite pastime of Captain Obvious is dancing on the head of a pin. No real answers, no personal view, no thought, no sense of … well anything really.

Ask him anything and if the answer can’t be lifted from some statute book you’ll not hear a dicky bird from him.

I've given you my views. Sorry they are not the same as yours.

Commit crimes expect to suffer the consequences.

Support a proscribed terrorist organisation is doing nothing to help those in Palestine. In fact it is doing the opposite as instead of highlighting the plight of those in Gaza, attention is now focussed on people deliberately breaking the law in England to show their support for a proscribed terrorist organisation.

But, hey you are doing more than Israel to divert attention from those in Gaza.

That's one take I guess.

Mine would be that people would see the ridiculousness of people being arrested for holding up bits of cardboard, wonder "WTF is that about" and have a look at the reasons for it, leading to awareness about what's happening in Gaza. Perhaps that's hopelessly naive, but generally I think that humans are inquisitive by nature, although sometimes I'm not so sure.

On a slight tangent, because I was thinking about displaying support for things, I was considering my "battle jackets" (or as people who mock metal music "virginity preservers") which have bands who promote some pretty hardcore anti Christian views, amongst other things. I wonder if I'll get arrested for having an Emperor patch on my sleeve one day? Probably not. But if I ever get my hands on a Zalaam patch, maybe...

I guess it helps that most metal logos are indecipherable to the uninitiated, maybe that's what Palestine Action should go for.

I think you are right that for the majority of people you are being hopelessly naive.
People will think WTF is that about - look a bit more and see thosepeople have chosen to support a proscribed terrorist organisation, and that is as far as an,y interest will go and they will be onto another topic.

Far more effective to get interest of the wider public would be to protest about what is happening in Gaza than aligning yourself with a proscribed terrorist organisation.
Your view assumes that people live in an echo chamber and support a particular similar view of Palestine etc. Most people do not in reality care about what is happening in some far flung country they have no connection with

They came for the metal fans and I did not speak out because I was not a metal fan.
They came for @spen666 and I just thought good riddance.
