Point taken - Netanyahu or not, the massive pro-Israel lobby guarantees a constant stream of money into Israel.

Netanyahu is like Trump also don't forget there are still ongoing protest in Isreal against Nethanyahu. Not widely reported because they in general remain peacefull so it's boring in comparison to the other news.

Presumably it means the paid up members of the boy’s club b have decided Hamas will be disarmed but no-one has told Hamas or worked out how? As they’ve been such a success on this issue Trump is now doubling the membership fee.

Hamas have agreed to the disarming.
Clever on their part as Israel will not agree to withdrawing.

I wonder how they will phase the disarming/withdrawl given the levels of mistrust (based of recent experience).

If Hamas disarm followed by Israel withdrawing would anybody trust the Israelis to actually withdraw. My cynicism is Israel might withdraw a few hundred meters, maybe even a mile or two but remain in Gaza "to ensure ...". And when the settlers start moving in to Gaza, would the Palestinians have any means to prevent what's happening in the West Bank?

I've not seen the "agreement" but given how vague Trump's Iranian Memorandum of Understanding was does this address the many loopholes?

I hope it does result in peace but history makes me less optimistic.

Israel has never negotiated in good faith.

Or and that might sound as a shocker to the resident members of the Hamas fan club, Hamas did agree but simply doesn't listen, like the agreements they breached in 2008, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26. And now that some countries accept Palestine as a country, where is the ICC prosecutor charging them with Genocide? they don't even have to change the definition like they needed to o to charge Isreal.
