He was already *mostly* a private contractor but I believe MOTD was still as a direct employee hence Lineker was still at the top of the BBC Salary List. I would imagine he's already been offered significantly more to present the same stuff for Sky, unless the Beeb get him back through his production company.

He has fingers in lots of pies. His podcast company is very successful, he won’t be out of work for very long.
The BBC’s problem is that it spends a disproportionate amount of time pandering to people who hate it and want to see it closed down. No other organisation has to put up with that nonsense.

No other state company forces non viewers with constant threats of legal action for a licence they don't need

I know it isn’t BBC related, but this is what happens when political ideology meets public service broadcasting.

Netflix will still allow the show to be broadcast on PSB. But that’s because it’s a successful show.
The problem is that the next Sesame Street and other lesser known shows will now never get made.

BBC are not a patriotic supporter of the UK. They are woke anti British
Piss off Andy. Are you telling me that you haven't watched a single show that Mitch Benn listed. The BBC is British. It's about as British as you can get whether it's Only Fools and Horses, Antiques Roadshow or Line of Duty. It's as British as you can get and it is unique to Britain. It has worldwide reach and respect.

Yes, it's prone to errors and being too safe and easily trodden down but that's it. The news reporting is objective. Farage has appeared on Question time more than any other politician I think.

Produce one shred of evidence to back up your claim.

I do, and so will a lot of people who grew with him as the face of the most popular sport in the UK.

I reckon folks who don't get how MOTD has evolved over the years will be upset about how woke it's gonna get with Kelly Cates, Gabby Logan and Mark Pugach at the helm.

Why are these people woke?

And does ITV know that Pougatch will be moonlighting for the BBC?
