Whilst it is Reform's Party conference and some parties are the focus during their conference, I don't remember the Lib Dems more recent conferences getting anything like the coverage Reform has just had and I thought the Lib Dems had a good number more MPs than Reform. (and a half of Reform MPs were elected as MPs standing for a different party anyway).

But Reform are steering the political discourse or summit. That’s the BBC’s normal response and completely ignores the chicken and egg situation that they, along with the majority of the RW print media, are enabling them to do that.

The BBC's original response was that Reform were setting the agenda with Brexit and everything, so Farage had to be on Question Time every week. Then they were leading in the polls (despite only have eight MPs) so Zia Yusuf had to be on everything (double whammy as he has brown skin), and now they have slipped significantly in the polls it's because they want to attract Reform voters to the BBC output.
The rationale seems to change as frequently as Farage's excuses for accepting foreign money and lying about it.

I haven't had a reply yet. Will be instructive what they say, but it shouldn't be beyond the wit of BBC to have a clear 'style guide' on this, as the terminology is specific and not something that Yusuf can just adopt as he pleases (and if he does, the BBC should know not to copy it).
