Sooo....
It looks like the Tory parliamentary party might have had enough of this democratic members vote nonsense and are hatching a plan for a "unity" candidate with Sunak and Mordaunt joint ticket.
I will await with interest to see if the Tory MPs can stop fighting each other like rats in a sack and stay unified long enough for a plan like this to actually work.
I have lost count of the number of PMs in the last few years, but I think it must be my turn soon.

This, of course, means that when a travesty of democracy fails it is replaced by no democracy at all, when it should be a better form democracy. Paint that large over the country and the result is frightening.

It's been reported in the media here that the PM will hold a press conference later today. Now, this would never get reported here in Asia but, under the circumstances, tongues are wagging it appears.

Yes. Unusually the only thing that has been briefed is that Truss will make an announcement and Kwasi will not be there. Speculation is that it is about a U-Turn. There are also strong rumours that the party may defenestrate Truss and put in an emergence cabinet led by Rishi and Penny Mordaunt.
