I was referring to a religion which was not foreign to the USA.

Fair point.

I'm pretty sure that you find the bulk of the Amish and Mennonites, the Scientologists (created by an American) and a fair quota of hacidic Jews in the USA. A fair few Jehovas as well. We all know that it's a very Christian country and last time I checked that was a Middle Eastern religion the same as Islam.

If you want to nit pick, all religions are foreign to the USA which used to be peopled by the tribal peoples of america.

If you wish to call it nit-picking, so be it. I would assume that the "tribal peoples of America" had a religion, or, indeed, probably religions. As far as I recall, the initial European Invasion brought Catholicism via the Spanish, and, again, as I recall, the whole reason for the "Pilgrims" going there was so that they could "do" Religion their way.

As in most parts (if not all) of the World, Religion (of whatever brand) has not brought "Peace and Harmony" to the USA. No doubt, in the future, we will "export" that feature to Space.

Dont forget the Mormons. A religion based upon some chap called Smith "discovering" golden plates in the USA.
Although, were you to believe Smith, there is a foreign connection in that the plates were written in Egyptian.

You've watched the musical documentary too then?

You might enjoy this - jump to 41.40 to learn all about the all American prophet...

That was the scene where I ended up a big snotty mess the first time I saw it when we still had to wear masks.

I'm disappointed now, I thought you were the only person to have seen this one
My bad. I hadn't even thought someone would consider making a musical out of that film before seeing the post.
Although, given the extensive trawling of successfully produced works which has already taken place, it shouldn't really have surprised me.
