My emotional attachment was to the paper it once was, not the paper that thinks it's for the intellectual right, but is just the Express with a few more longer words and more double-barrelled names.

As I say, I don't see what point you are trying to make about Monkers quoting a Matt cartoon making fun of Reform. I'm sure you'd quote the Graun if it made fun of Rayner.

I probably would, but we're more likely to see Elvis working down at my local chippie than that happening.

Maybe you should read news sources other than the Telegraph from time to time. Though calling the modern Telegraph a 'news source' is stretching it a bit.

What makes you think I don't? You seem to be falling into the usual leftiebollox ways of assuming stuff.

The Telegraph used to be a serious newspaper, these days it's clickbait reactionary garbage.

Stevo finds it hard to compute that I used to regularly read the Telegraph (until the 1980s, when I switched to the new Independent, and parents took it, in paper form, for all of their married life) and, along with several other ex-BR forumites, have voted Tory in the (now distant) past.

It's been sad to witness the demise of both as serious organisations, as a thriving democracy needs different points of view advocated by competent people.

Anyway, enough navel gazing. Another joke...

Well, when someone gets criticised for sharing a cartoon (for a change, an amusing Matt one) because of the source...

It was more of a mild ribbing. But as we can now see, missing the point and assuming stuff are a couple of specialities of yours 😉
