By and large it is fun banter, I think. I certainly feel absolutely nothing negative when I see the posts, not any remorse for taking the piss in reply.

A few people seem to rise to it, but even then I suspect in large part the "reply" is actually letting off steam about the current state of world affairs, or they are really making points to other people. Often this is reacting not to our magatroll, but to how astonishing it still is that there are people who think what they think and say what they say.

Why doesn't the swear filter change that to "urine"? There is no consistency.

Trouble is not so much the troll but the sometimes pages of quoting posts "Not true", "Check your facts", "Do you ever research anything" on and on. Trolling original post might he well hidden but all the twaddle futile attempts to point out daftness are not and there can be loads of such posts from the few who still think trolling posts are raising a point to be answered.

Yup. I do use the mute for our singular troll, but occasionally he will get quoted having posted disinformation. I therefore tend to still post evidence of falsity for the record.

And then there are those who reply to the troll post without quoting. And sometimes the troll post are completely hidden, but some are visible with a message saying 'you are ignoring this troll'.
It does get quite confusing at times.
I should learn my lesson.
In theory, its good to have diverse opinion. When the contrasting opinion is just a cut and paste from genericrightwingshite.com it has no value whatsoever.

From what I see there isn't any "opinion" just mad unfounded conspiracy theories or complete fabrication being spread for ideological self-interest for the interests of some far-right US elite.

But, in the same spirit, in the interests of avoiding pollution, those not wanting to catch autism throwing out all their Paracetamol pills remember to return them to your pharmacy rather than into the landfill waste bins. (This is an "off-topic" thread)

Pharmacies do not accept returned medication for re-use. I know as my Dad had bags of unopened in-date meds that he had stopped taking. They took them to be disposed of, not re-used. That said, I don't know how they disposed of them.

Some used to take them back and then send abroad to third world countries, where the price is high or not normally available, but where it was still needed.

Via one of the charities that you'd see advertising after natural disasters and the like.

Maybe they'll be picked like they used to be in school sports, where each captain picks a player until you get to the last two, and you hope you get picked before the other no-hoper.

Which raises the question, do we have Captains on here, if yes, how many?

In sport terms, at school, I was a "no-hoper" 😂; one of my drinking pals jokes (well, I think it is a joke) that in football at school, he was usually picked to be a corner flag 😂

I was an absolute no-hoper in rugby, but fortunately there was someone even more wussy than me, so I generally was one from last to get picked. Badminton was more my style.
