I disagree.
Fair enough, but I know what I saw and heard.

There is a difference between racism and disliking cheap labour pushing wages down. Perhaps the Remain campaign could have seen a bigger picture and championed fighting zero hours contracts and decent wages over precarious employment and won. It was close.
Yes thanks I do know the difference. But the Brexit vote was nothing to do with that.I agree that it should of been a better campaign from remain. But let's not pretend there's any push for decent wages and secure employment from this goverment. It was sold on immigration and closing borders.Farage and the ERG arent any employment champions 🙄

If it’s so much better in the EU why do they cross the dangerous channel to be in The U.K?
Did a brexiteer tell them about our sunlit uplands?

It's a very small proportion of migrants inside the EU. Most of them have family connections here, or they're reasonably fluent in English.

This should be a sticky on every page where the EU is mentioned , maybe through sheer weight of repetition it will be remembered by those convinced half the world is beating on our beaches in search of hand out.

It won't be.

The Mail etc always headline about the thousands of asylum seekers/immigrants crossing the Channel to get here, but never list how that compares the many more thousands of the same people crossing land and sea borders to get to other countries in the UK.

It is about time the broad left had the guts to take on these issues without getting dragged down into playing a lowest common denominator politics or brushing them under the carpet as too iffy.

The other side being crooks or the desire for simplistic presentation to win votes is no excuse. Most of my life socialists have glossed over the nitty gritty thus allowing the right to present themselves as workers' friends.
