Healthcare is a big issue for anyone who isn't rich, but the democrats didn't offer anything on healthcare. If you look at the outpouring of non-grief for Thompson, it's not just those on the left who are unhappy with the current system. It'll be interesting to see if trump dares to trash the ACA, when he failed last time round.
Well if you look at Obama at the time who made it an big issue, even he couldn't push a proper system trough. But yes the health insurance systems mainly hits the slightly better off, as the lowest incomes simply can't afford health insurance anyway. I do think he dares, it's just that his friends are making millions of dollars with it whilst trashing it's reputation, why would he?
Before Biden's first election i think it was during Hillary vs Trump Bernie Sanders gave an interview with Joe Rogan, which was about this topic and he said among other things that they can make healthcare a lot more affordable by simply making price deals(by lack of a better term) something we do in europe for decades.
It seems Healthcare is stuck in the same position as tougher gun control laws, if you speak to American rationally they all known and can tell you why it would be benefittical but as soon as it is purposed they jump into the ''can't touch my first amendment rights'' or in healthcare ''i don't want to subsidize everyone healthcare, it will bankrupt the economy''
Does Trump have any wealthy suckers-up who favour a more equitable health system?
probably more who benefit from the current system.
