I agree. China tries and puts significant resource into trying and reports are they are not very successful.There's literally no evidence apart from nut job sites that UK intends to ban VPNs.
Most commentators say it's not even possible to do so.

No real surprise as it was bound to happen. One of the "costs" of the Government's Online Safety Act. Certainly won't be the last such event. Send your confidential details to providers all over the place is just daft and UK Government putting in place laws to require that be done is even dafter.
As of yesterday an this morning, I've enabled full time VPN.
Something has changed, on several news websites, certain rather innocuous articles were blocked for age restrictions.
They became unblocked via the VPN.
There you have it, misgender someone is misinformation therefore breaches Online safety act.
