Does everyone have to account for the actions of their parents and siblings now?

I have no strong feelings either way for the royals, but can’t see how Charles has anything to answer for.

I'd say if you are head of state because your parent was head of state you account for their actions as head of state.

I'd say actions taken by the current head of state to amputate his sibling from the family support that analysis too

Also question of the degree as to the entity that is "the Head of State" is it a person or an organisation (eg "The Firm"). When assets pass (tax) freely between individuals, where succession is determined by family links, the country becomes more of owned by a family rather than an individual.

Reminds me of the anecdote:

Answer Royal succession.

nb. My understanding is Andrew despite not being a Prince is still 8th in line of succession. Whilst not much chance of his ascending to the throne maybe speaks volumes that he is still formally in the line of succession.

Andrew had no official duties since 2019.
the Queen removed the HRH titles in 2022.
His mum probably has a few questions to answer about the £12 million but she’s dead.
I just don’t see what it has to do with Charles.
Should he be accountable for Richard III and Henry VIII

Because they are "The Firm" and there is apparently/reported consultation. Just as in any company CEO might be in charge but other Board members have a say and the CEO will seek their input and their agreements.

It is widely reported that it's William who has been pushing for a particularly strong exclusion of Andrew ... yet when William becomes King would we be declaring that it was Charles who took the action?

They are a "firm", they gain mutual benefits from family so can be held accountable on that basis.

I suspect Duke Andrew will emigrate before much longer, most likely to Dubai.

That said, maybe depends on how many of his wealthy contacts are abandoning him given he'll be very dependent on them to fund him living like a Royal out there. Will his ever deteriorating reputation discourage previous contacts?

Agreed.

What would be in it for the UAE royals?

Maybe one of the difficult to assess aspects. Maybe he just needs somebody with money rather than a royal? Or maybe they'd view it as providing a sort of exile. nb I guessing on this.
