We need to let Victorian etiquette go. It was mainly devised to show people up who weren't in the right class.

Squishing peas against a fork held the wrong way around, for example, clearly defies the function of the curvature of the implement and serves only to reduce the number of peas that can be successfully conveyed, whilst maximising the number of casualties en route.

This is really all I have to say on the matter.

King George the 6th once famously went to the Wes' country and sat down to dinner with a bunch of farmers for dinner. One farmer stopped everyone as he balanced his peas on his knife and everybody was looking around and at the King for the reaction. King George proceeded to eat his peas with his knife and everyone followed suit.

Anyway, this is a bit of a diversion in the Andrew formerly known as Prince thread.

Re: Inequality
I and some others here feel there is too much wealth inequality in our society, wealthy are too wealthy, too greedy whilst too many in society suffer effects of not having enough.

I (and some others) are highly critical of the likes of Musk, Bezos, etc. BUT at least they got their wealth from an idea, lots of hard work, risks (often risking everything) on their idea and striving hard to gain their success.

We might think they don't pay enough tax but at least they operate under the same rules available to the rest of the population. In many respects they are on a level playing field.

Yet when your work means cutting a few ribbons and wandering past a high security crowd asking a few if "they come here often" and having vast wealth largely from tax exemptions they uniquely enjoy due to who their parents are, exemptions not available to any other families anywhere, one must question the fairness of that inequality.

Maybe, but I'd love to know what wealthy people have a job that just involves that. Like them or not, the former Queen and her husband were still travelling all over the place whilst pushing towards being 100 years old.

I just eat peas with a spoon.

A couple of random thoughts today.
How different could things have been if Queenie had allowed Randy Andy to settle with Koo Stark?
If it goes to court could the prosecution demand/ask politely for the full unreacted Trump/Epstein files?
