And the knot in his tie, it looks like a Premier League footballer from the turn of the Millennium

And the collar, and the way the shirt is creased. Well, just about everything. He looks like a scruff who has to wear a suit. The one thing he can't really help is his face which is about what you might expect for a 50-year old (which is what he is).

Tie looks fine to me. Collar a bit wide, but I guess that is some sort of fashion. I assume he is sitting so the shirt doesn't have gravity on its side.

I hasten to add, I'm not style icon, but then I don't go on Newsnight to be interviewed, but cycling gear, or DJ & bow tie seem to get the most likes.

Glad that's been explained. (See also 'shît graphs', as they've chopped off the X-axis labels.)

Judi Dench hasn't aged well. The Tucci bloke looks a bit dodgy as well.

I was just looking up some stats for a magazine article, and to illustrate the challenges of music education in Devon, passed on the figures that the borough of Merton in London has c. 32k school-age children in 14.5 square miles, compared with c. 93k in Devon in 2534 square miles.

Simple to explain, difficult to resolve.
Oldies and rental businesses moving into Devon while the young are moving out.
