Motherf*cker surprises me when used by Americans, given their seeming aversion to using f*ck.

I've always thought of it in the same way that Brits/Aussies use "c*nt", in that it's versatile enough to be a term of endearment or an insult.

As swearing goes though nothing, absolutely nothing, will ever beat "f*ck" on its own.

That said, the chart doesn't take into account non English variations, where my favourites are "chinga", "putain" "faen" and "pendejo".

I'm just going to annoy Brian by pointing out that England's women's football team have, despite all efforts, somehow failed to lose again. They even intentionally missed a penalty but couldn't avoid scoring just after.

Huh? Couldn't they just try reading some scientific stuff, or is America giving up on that kind of thing completely?

FWIW, I'm left-handed (mostly). My gran (born 1900) was left-handed but was forced to learn to write right-handed, leaving her scrawl very hard to decipher.

FWIW, I'm left handed too and went through school during the change-over. Some teachers clearly wanted everyone to use their right hand but were no longer allowed to enforce it. Glad I wasn't born earlier. Did face some slur name calling though. "Good old days" weren't all that good.

So the US has regressed about 70 years, pretty much across the board. Back to when it was Great.

As one of those who was forced, I have mixed emotions. It made me ambidextrous with many things, but my loathing towards the Catholic spinsters who rigorously and brutally enforced it has never left me.

I routinely use tools with either hand. I'm pretty rusty now with writing left-handed, but I used to be able to write simultaneously with left and right, mirror and normal script away from a centreline. I draw and paint with both.
