Are you ranting about duplicated rants?

Not ranting, just checking 😊

I see smoking rates have dropped off a cliff since 2000.

That's great news (vaping aside obviously).
Smoke free pubs, restaurants, gigs etc have really increased my enjoyment of going out. It's wonderful that so few people are smoking now. I'm kind of sad that some of my favourite singers seem to have ruined their voices with smoking though. I wonder how long it will be before we see a noticeable change in NHS health/treatment figures for smoking related illnesses. Another decade maybe.

My daily rant.
Online news stories about some smug guy telling you how easy it was to save £80k aged 23 to buy a house.
There seems to be loads of these stories on the side bar of various news outlets.
Often there are glaring omissions on how they actually managed to save the money.
But it just doesn’t reflect the real world experiences for most youngsters, and is probably unhelpful to most of them.

The other rant is the twats who retired aged 42.
Usually with no kids, worked two good jobs and saved huge amounts because they lived like hermits through the best years of their lives.
I also expect they have inherited cash at some point.
I’m not sure they are winning at life.

I take it all with a pinch of bollocks. They think that getting a house off your parents is starting from zero

Haven’t seen rain in weeks, forecast is for clear skies tonight so planning a trip to darker skies for some photography and the wife asked me to do a barbecue first as my eldest is coming over. Finished work, list the barbecue and it was blazing away. There wasn’t a breath of wind. All of a sudden leaves are getting blown of the trees and I felt a few spots of rain, next thing it was chucking it down and still going. At this rate either the barbecue is going to get put out or the charcoal will be burnt out before I can start cooking. Unbefarkinglievable!

Looking on the rain radar there are 3 patches of rain over the whole of the southern UK and one is centred right on us but the Met Office app stills shows sun with a 10% chance of rain!

Everyone else is now looking at the rainfall radar hoping that that rain is heading their way! I've never seen Devon look sooooo dry... my French place is going to look like an oasis in comparison!!

Still much greener here than it was last year. However, we’re booked into a cabin in the woods of Mid Wales for our anniversary next week and got an email saying due to file risk we can no longer use the (wood fired) hot tub, pizza oven or barbecue. We can use the hot tub for cold dipping which is probably more appealing anyway at present.

Just got that rain in Cardiff. Pity it's not going to be enough to save me watering the pot plants on the patio.

We’re not far away and got about 15-20 minutes of heavy rain so no need for watering tonight. I really hope the cloud forecast for Pembrokeshire tonight are accurate or I’ll be wasting a nights sleep and 250 miles driving for nothing.

Barbecue was all good in the end anyway, it stopped in time to cook the food and the rain made the charcoal smoke more meaning everything was really tasty.

Ha! We've only had one cloudy day in three weeks, last Saturday.
The day we were having a family birthday BBQ. Spent most of the day either wearing fleeces, or indoors watching the rugby.
