Billionaires moving back to Starmer's Britain

Not for the reason starmer wants

It'll do as long as he pays tax on those donations. I take it you are devoid of noticing the irony of a man living in Hong Kong complaining about freedom of speech and wanting to take back "his country" despite not paying any taxes to "his country".

Hopefully it will also prompt a full investigation into his tax dodging as well.

There are no tax deductions for donations. He has seen the attempt by Labour to throttle donations, so is proactively taking steps to get over the limits. I doubt he'll be too bothered about the tax element, given he's a reported billionaire.

I bet he's structured his remuneration from his companies to make his personal earnings as low a possible for UK tax purposes whilst he (temporarily) lives here.

So, from what I can gather from replies, a bloke who left the UK presumably to avoid paying tax, has to move back to the UK, in order to continue to grease Fartage’s back pocket and in the process will be end up paying tax? And that somehow makes Starmer the joke? Have I got that right?

Sounds just like the logic that Fox News is currently applying to Trump’s surrender to Iran.

I quite enjoy the replies to him, it's a good game to work out what pea brain is on about just now.

You dont know what tax he is paying, the remuneration package he has with his businesses, what cash he has in his account.

He could be paying less than you in tax, being wealthy enough to employ the best tax accountants available

Hong Kong is not a typical tax haven i don't really know the person or kind of business he is in but playing devil advocate he could just like Hong Kong or have business interest there right?

Wow, absolute patriots, the lot of them 😂

It still amazes me that these people have the balls to tell British people that they are working in their interests. The thing is if they think the UK is such a dump and Hungary/Russia et al are so amazing, why don't the likes of Goodwin, Tm Montgomerie and so on just f**k off and live there?
It surprises me people are still surprised and then looking at the other parties, why they still hold on the methods that don't work. Like their endless ''this is why party X sucks and we are so much better comparisons. When i was in my twenties selling carrier pre select services (when we still had land lines) that didn't work i know politics are always behind and stuff but spoiler it still doesn't work. Hell they lost Brexit because if it.

The better thing would be to find an actual counter instead countless articles exposing ''the radical right" (used to be called extreme right but i guess that term won't suffice anymore as it shows how failed previous efforts where) because spoiler it's just as easy to make the same expose about the ""radical left"" and anything in between there are also fractions wanting to fund campaigns to swing certain results into their direction,(look at all the conparacy's pointing to Soros for example) a working democracy counters that with arguments reason and facts, but then again we don't really have a working democracy.

I sort of agree but being honest and realistic about your policies and aims unfortunately doesn’t win elections. People seem to be voting on the basis of being told what they want to hear even though any kind of critical thinking would make them realise the promises will never be delivered (you’d have thought they’d have noticed by now that the Brexit benefits they were promised haven’t materialised). I think / hope the penny may be starting to drop now though.
