Part of Fârage's problem with wider electorate that is bothering to question is his recent track record. When he claimed police told him it was too dangerous for him to do surgeries in Clacton till Police said they'd done no such thing and Farǎge "clarified it was Reform's internal "police". Like when pointed out here, reason he was late on stage was anti-terrorist Police telling him to wait ... until West Midlands police said "oh no we didn't ". And now we're getting daft unbelievable twaddle like someone offering him £500 000 and he claims he "wasn't listening".

That he thinks the electorate so stupid is insulting.

Christopher Harborne & his solicitors made no attempt despite repeated inquiries to "correct the record" or to respond to any of the particulars of the claim prior to publication. Even though in the claim against Habib, they cite lack of a pre-publication right to reply in their evidence!

This legal filing raises more questions than it answers. There's not even any attempt to deny the claim! And, as we say our piece, there's abundant public interest. 2019 was the critical election that gave us Brexit, the Boris Johnson government & everything that flowed from that.

I'd say it was the 2015 election that gave us Brexit in the first instance though.
David Cameron may have walked away but the burden is still on his shoulders, or should be.

Indeed (James O'Brien is particularly scathing about Cameron in his book). But a hung parliament would have delivered a very different Brexit, and (arguably) one which even I might have come to terms with (Single Market, Customs Union, as suggested initially by Farage, at least before the election itself).

Having got the 'Leave' by a narrow majority, they needed a government that would go for the hardest Brexit they could.
