He's hoping the racists will consider him white if he is vile enough to other brown people. See also Badenoch, Braverman and Patel.

The video footage does look quite damning but there must be more we haven’t seen.
I’d like to hear the whole reason for the jury failing to reach a verdict. What was the split on the jury, as they clearly couldn’t reach a majority decision either way?
But if the jury weren’t able to convict then we have to stand y the decision.

In social care, where my wife works, the support workers do get paid overtime but many refuse to do anything above 15 hours due to impact on their in-work benefits (my wife only gets TOIL as a member of management). I could see Reform cutting in-work benefits so maybe the tax free overtime would become tempting in that situation. I can imagine things like cuts to benefits being the way this would get funded if it ever did happen.

If they're still doing that they're robbing themselves.

Tax Credits had a sweet spot around hours - and some cliff edges too.

They were abolished by April 2025 with people migrated to Universal Credit in which the effect of additional earnings is pretty much linear.

Possible there are exceptions where people had Transitional Protection but majority probably do not.
