This must be a dilemma for a narcissist like Farage for whom Reform is all about him: he must be thinking that without him fronting it, everything's going wrong, but he daren't front it now while all the financial furore is swirling around and the press seem to want to press it home. All they've got at the moment to put in front of the press are men-of-the-common-people Dicky Tice and Honest Bob Jenrick.
Has anyone thought to check if Chris Mason is OK lately? It's only last September he was in ecstasy over his heroes.

I didn't want to get ahead of myself (unusual I know!) but I did have an inkling this would be the case eventually. Brits aren't like Americans, most of us can spot the grift and sooner or later people like Farage come unstuck when they actually get some level of power. We expect people to do something when they have authority and you can only b******* for so long before you start to lose your support. I have a feeling this may be the slow decline for Farage.

They’ll just moan that they’re living in other accommodation instead. Being in hotels was never the real issue for them, being in the UK was.

Except that that one won't wash, as asylum-seekers are just being processed more quickly, so there are fewer of them. As we know, the Tories just wanted to break the system so that they could blame asylum seekers for all the country's ills, most of which were self-inflicted. Note the date where it all started to go wrong, and the other date where it all accelerated.

But that just means they are living here now and no longer seeking asylum which is worse or something. You have to start realsiing that these people will never believe this sort of stuff as they need their bogeyman to blame for all their woes because it couldn't possibly be they are responsible for their lives not being great.

Well, I think they realise they need to diversify their hatred, as now they are going for people who are non-native, people who don't speak English at all (that'll get rid of some Welsh people), other minorities, etc.
I think if freedom of movement for Christian white people who spoke English were proposed, they'd think seriously about signing up, as with Trump/Miller and white South Africans.

I wonder if part of Reform's challenges is that their prominent members have (to a degree) different motivation eg whilst Färange dislikes immigrants his primary aim seems public attention and money, whereas Tice only wants to destroy our climate for profit, Honest Bob wants to run stuff, etc.

This is the danger as their primary focuses (the EU and foreigners) lose the toxicity they once had, not least as people are twigging that the EU wasn't the problem, and how much we relied on people with brown skin and funny accents to keep UK Ltd running and profitable. It's a bit like telling a child not to touch something because it's very hot and will hurt them, but they still have a compulsion to check that what you've just told them is based in fact. Yeah, of course they touch it.
