I agree.
But also, for me it's more than "illegal". I think it reasonable for us (the electorate) to expect our politicians to act completely legally but also to comply with Parlimentary and Ministerial codes and as well as more broadly to behave in a moral manner, their politicial activities being fully transparent.

Their political activities are in effect providing our democratic legislature & governance so very reasonable we expect transparency in those activities.

It certainly is, but that's what Reform (and Trump) exploit to the max. The only criterion they care about is whether they can get away with it. Up to now the answer has been pretty unequivocally yes, whether it's because the people/bodies that could stop them are either just ineffective or wilfully looking the other way, for whatever reason(s).

Possibly the funniest interview I’ve ever seen, she started out on what she seemed to think was solid ground and got ripped to pieces. Ended up like the pub drunk who knows they’ve lost the argument but can’t find a way to end it with their dignity intact.
