The xenophobes in the UK and France are falling out, not just between the two countries, but in France too. Remember that 'memorandum of understanding' between Farage and Bardella? Well, the English version had an extra sentence about returning migrants that is causing problems.

At the 2026 Reform party conference, Farage and Jordan Bardella appeared on stage holding a comedy-sized memorandum both had signed. It stated that under a Reform government in the UK and a National Rally leadership in France, it would accept all migrants deported from British shores. A Reform Britain would intercept migrants boats launched from the French coast, it read, and France would return these people to their home countries. But the English version, signed by Farage, included a line claiming: "France will ordinarily accept these persons", which was missing from the one signed by Bardella.

When it comes to the nuts and bolts of the actual practical implementation of alt right whackology, it falls apart at the seams.

If your fundamental beliefs are xenophobic and based upon hating out groups, it seems very challenging to cooperate with foreign governments, I would have thought. It never takes very long under this philosophy for the enemy of my enemy to be the next enemy.

It seemed fairly obvious that one group that wanted immigrants out of their country wouldn't come to an agreement with a country that wanted to return the ones that went there and that the other group wouldn't be happy for the ones that 'escape' to remain in their country.
