Reform, and the death of the Tory Party

Well thank goodness for that. If Corbyn had been elected we wouldn't have had the huge benefit of luminary world leaders such as Boris "The Liar" Johnson and Liz "Lettuce" Truss.

We'd never have had the benefit of Matt Hancock killing off everyone in carehomes, or a PM confident enough to have a piss up every week during Covid. We wouldn't have had the magnificent triumph of Trussonomics or the stately leadership of Dishi Rishi. We'd have missed the wisdom of Suella Braverman and Priti Patel. Michelle Mone would still be penniless.

Ah well. Thank goodness Corbyn wasn't elected.

You think Corbyn would have been good for the country?

Not particularly. It's more "would he have been worse than the shitshow we got"?

You are celebrating having spent £3 to keep the "twats out of power" when arguably your £3 ensured the twats got into power. Just different twats.

Seems a bit of a pyrrhic victory to be celebrating.

Conversely, I don't think he is particularly (or certainly not PM-class), but he'd have been less worse than Johnson et al.

Not sure Corbyn would have been good for the country.

The big swing for me was the 2015 election where Cameron beat Miliband. SNP routed Labour in Scotland because of the independence backlash. The poor old lib dems took a kicking and it ushered in the catastrophic Brexit era.

They only had a majority of 4 and caused untold harm.

I do , he is a good man . Which made him an automatic target for the chattering classes.
I think Corbyn would have been good for the country but not as PM. As PM he would have been a disaster. Corbyn's strengths were as a thinker probably in a group discussing and forming policy. He needed others to point out the unforeseen consequences of his proposals, to moderate, sort of one part of a consensus.

But his ego got in the way and he couldn't work to his strengths ...
