Really?

A 1000% increase in billionaire wealth between 1990 and 2022.

Increase in billionaires from 15 in 1990 to 177 in 2022.

A £150bn increase in their wealth in the same time period.

Yet, there are levels of poverty in the UK that shouldn't exist in the 5th richest nation on earth with these same billionaires paying less tax than their cleaners.

Who are the wasters again? I don't see the UK benefiting from this wealth.
Because successive governments have flooded the UK with cheap foreign labour, suppress wages to the point most youngsters can't afford to rent let alone buy.

It's been a long term plan for decades- keep the population poor and they will be dependent upon us, malleable to government objectives

That's just garbage.

Example, one of the reasons the NHS is on its knees is because all the EU medical staff went home after being told by people to go home.

Another example, farmers cannot get people to pick fruit and veg on their farms as it's too expensive to sort out the visas and British people think these jobs are beneath them.

The reasons youngsters cannot afford to rent is that baby boomers were able to buy houses at next to no money and rent them out for extortionate sums. Also, very little social house building for about 40 years as well. Sod all to do with immigration. Saying that, Liebour want to build housing in the UK but are stuffed because the UK doesn't have enough tradesman to do it. They'll have to import workers from abroad sending the Reform voting Gammonati into a fury.

Strangely, the idiots that voted for Brexit are the one suffering most from its consequences. Brexit has cost each UK citizen £4000 each and has cost the economy £40billion a year in lost revenue.

Again, sod all to do with immigration and everything to do with a very stupid electorate who are unable to eat, sleep, sh*t and p*ss without the Sun, the DM or that traitor Farage telling them to.

I would much rather hire an immigrant who has travelled across Europe after fleeing a war zone, who speaks better English than some of the Reform voting wastes of oxygen, and pay him/her the full rate for the job.

No, it because it's inundated with extra people using it. Immigration is running at unprecedented levels never seen before.

Housing, education, medical, social payments, immigration costs skyrocketing.

Now with this current government, stifling investment, ramping taxes from falling revenues, massively increased borrowing, ballooning deficit interest payments.

Thank goodness you're on the other side of the planet, you can hardly keep yourself together, let alone preach who we should allow into our country

Legal immigration has halved in the year ending 2024 to 431,000. Small boats account for 38,023 of that figure.

Costs are skyrocketing due to privatisation of just about anything.

The current gov have no money as the previous crowd f*cked the finances up.

I have no idea what you mean by the last sentence. If it's a jibe, it's not very good. Always good to know that I'm on the right track if all you have in response are childish jibes about people's health.

'Our country' but you have the flag of another nation in your profile. How very patriotic.

Just because it's halved this year, and I'm very doubtful of the number manipulation. There are already millions who have arrived previously

Figures come from Migration Observatory.

Millions already here? Hyperbolic much?
The UK population has increased by approximately 2.2 million people over the last five years (2019–2024), based on available data and estimates. Below is a breakdown of the population growth year by year, derived from sources including the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and other demographic reports:

2022: Population rose to 67.6 million. Growth rebounded to 1.13%, adding about 760,000 people, driven by high net migration (672,000

Population reached 68.3 million. Growth was 0.98%, adding about 670,000 people, with net migration (622,000) as the primary driver.

2024: Estimated population is around 68.9 million (mid-2024 projection). Assuming a growth rate of about 0.82% (similar to 2023), this adds roughly 560,000 people.

Yes millions

A bit of a "Daily Mail" view of "British" people.

Have you any actual evidence as to the proportion of rental properties owner by "boomers"

Whist property prices in SOME areas of UK may be beyond the reach of "youngsters", in the area in which I live, it is perfectly possible to buy a property for approximately 3.5 times average UK wage, which is very similar to the ratio when I was a "youngster"
