The level of stupidity here is frightening.
Seems a bit harsh. Gullability mostly. From what he said they saw it as a positive because they would no longer get the brush off and told everything was brussels fault. They were promised freedom from red tape and didn't see through the lies of Farage and Johnson. They have now discovered that they have more red tape and higher costs.

We need to stop pretending that Brexit was a good thing, and we need someone in power who is prepared to go "it's shoot - we are planning to negotiate a rejoining of the EU markets". There will be some vocal noise from the swivel eyed loons but all you have to do is repeatedly ask them where the benefits are that they promised. They won't have an answer because there are none.

You clearly haven't watched what the EU has been dictating over the past years since the UK leaving they Eu it's like leaving an 3 year old alone with the candy jar.
Having said that the question ''what are the benefits?'' is just as complete as ''do Trump tariffs really work?'' in mean in both cases yes you can find some advantatages but also in both cases lot of advantages have been left in the tank, as in both cases they committed to the action(either Brexit or Tariff) but have/had no additional plans to really make it work. And that's always a recipe for disaster, look at the amount of people that still credits Apple to creating the first ecosystem for phones, it is false Symbian could do the same thing, Apple just created one appstore with payments and everything intregrated.(symbian had several, some with some without payment options. but a j2me standard for apps)

Please give examples of Brexit benefits. Should be easy.

GB News : "Brexit is a good thing?"

Brexit Fisherman : "It's been a disaster"

"But exports?"

"Red tape is 100 fold, our main market is the EU"

"But EU fisherman?"

"They didn't come here"

"But charge more?"

"They can buy in the EU"

"How would you vote?"

"I'd vote for Remain in a heart beat"

When they got elected I was going on about how bad the Reform councillors would be
and how they would get nothing done

I wish to apologise - I was wrong

apparently every Reform dominated council has ALREADY achieved one fo their main manifesto promises

They have eliminated the Low Traffic Zones from every council where Reform won a majority

every single one is now totally free of them!!!!

Of course it COULD be pointed out that none of them had one anyway - but that is really not relevant

You'd think just once, when we ask someone for a Brexit benefit they'd be able to name one straight away.
Never happens though.
Can't think why...
Freedom of owning up to your own politicall farkups, but then we got tories, who blame everything one everyone else, just like labour, reform, all those other 301parties farage was part off. and then we have lib dems who claim people didn't vote for them because their leader was a woman. But the fact also is none of them was really ready to hear and respond to a positive answer to the question ''should we leave the EU?''

But that is an clear benefit which can also turn into a non-benefit pretty easily.
I would call all the money we saved by not joining EU's latest projects a win, alltough with the UK still in the EU they probably wouldn't have happened, the UK's role of keeping things sensible can not be overstated.

That said, I'm not sure that 'staying in the EU to stop the EU being an even bigger bunch of d**ks than usual' was a valid reason for us to have not left.

As a Remainer, I would have to disagree, we should have stayed in (what was basically a sound idea), and, worked to make it better, rather than throwing our toys out of the pram and whingeing on the sidelines. 😂
