Can I just ask, what is the purpose of the question and how is my personal data going to be a) stored, b) processed?
No offence, but I would suppose your "personal data" will be ignored. As for my purpose in asking, I will admit to being somewhat flummoxed by the question, and strongly advise you not to provide any information about your browsing habits whatsoever; indeed, to immediately have whatever device you're using to access this thread professionally steam cleaned.

I have no intention of providing and personal data without knowing how it is to be used and stored/ processed.

Basic GDPR information is the least I would expect

However if others are happy to provide personal data without knowing how it will be used or stored, the go ahead

Opened on Bluesky.... but still kept their X accounts so they can announce it to many more millions and of course edge their bets if their Bluesky account doesn't take off. Just like they did with Mastodon.

I hope it does take off. More choice is a good thing. X and BS might become more echo chamber-y but that's the nature of all sm.

Point of interest: how much time do you spend on social media (including cycling social media) and researching your input?

This is going to be a great thread to share some favourites. A reminder that you can watch vids in embedded tweets without going offsite.

Very much NSFW.

I suppose I should know better to make a blanket statement, with the myriad devices and platforms in use. Here it is on YouTube.

If you can't see that, I'm afraid you're out of luck.

@Rusty Nails, I'll get back to you shortly.

While I'm not buying this as friendly banter, I'll consider chatting with you about social media, and even productive use of precious time, on two conditions.

1. Please take the trouble to address some of the points in my post #211 on the woman thread.

I'm not talking about my links (blue text is especially triggering to some); I'm talking about why it's hard for so many men to have empathy with women about this. I'm aware women aren't a monolith of opinion, but it's a hot topic on Mumsnet for a reason.

I'd also be interested in what you think of moNkers refusing to visit links I provide, while I'm happy to sample those moNkers offers – though like anyone, I reserve the right not to engage with moNkers, having learned where that gets you from the monster gender thread.

2. You come to my site and ask me the questions in your post #35 (and anything else you want). I've started a thread just for you:

C'mon, it'll be fun.

You do not have to register. For the most part I'd prefer people didn't, and am seldom disappointed. Just between us, I only keep that option available so people can admire the fine craftsmanship of my registration agreement. Note that you can make up an email address as long as the format is correct, though we may have to PM here first so I know it's actually you.

I was not having a go at you, just genuinely wondering about the amount of time spent. The motivation is none of my business. My time on social media sites is usually passing time when I have nothing else I want to do...eg when my wife is watching Strictly or something equally as riveting on the TV or the weather is too bad to go out for a ride.

Ignoring the just a bit more than passive aggressive setting of conditions, I have no interest in responding to the bits of a post that were responding to someone else.

I would not know why "so many men" fail to have empathy with women about this. I believe I have empathy with women, both cis and trans, who feel troubled by the issues. I am not "many men" and try to steer clear of cod psychology.

I do not think about monkers' refusal to visit your or anyone else's links, nor your agreement to visit any offered.

I have no wish to get actively involved in your site unless I find an interesting thread on old bikes I want to contribute to or someone sells some bike parts I might want.

You've saved me some time. (This is my third go at a reply, so not enough.)

Points for unironic use of the word "aggressive", passive or otherwise.

Am a little surprised there are no votes yet for the site which I refuse to be consistent in calling Twitter. (I didn't vote.) Have to wonder if it's like that phenomenon where nobody admits to, say, voting Tory or Trump.
