So Starmer has been busy arranging for talks about the Iran war……sorry operation and sorting out Trump’s handiwork regarding the Straights of Hormuz. The UK will host discussions between dozens of nations. No need for the US, as we don’t need them.
He’s also called for closer economic ties to Europe, in the light of said war. (Thank you, Donnie)

Meanwhile, Farage appears to have gone into hiding. Anyone with any information as to his whereabouts are asked not to contact the police.
Badenoch’s still thinking about filling up the car.

He is hoping. He is wrong.
The entire world has lost trust, and once trust is lost...
And I spect that loss of trust extends way beyond NATO. Negotiating deals eg trade not worth vast effort given once agreed it's likely to be torn-up within a few days.

Look at all the effort the UK went to to negotiate a special deal" on tariffs, special "never before" 2nd state visits, etc. just to now have it all thrown back in our faces with daily insults and ludicrous expectations.

Actually that doesn't matter. What matters is that in the USA they are now paying close to what we were paying a few weeks ago for fuel and that is HUGE as far as his fan base is concerned. It's actual tangible evidence that there is a problem. It can't be put down to a conspiracy theory or poo-pahed in social media.

I doubt he is aware of the fact that it is now an interconnected world market and the US can't simply go it alone. Well, not without crashing their economy. Worst part is a significant amount of US voters are just as delusional. Some of them are joining the dots. Quicker the better for all.

Apparently she is on pothole patrol

Good to see she has her finger on the global pulse.

Isn't the amount needed estimated to be about 150 times as much as she's pledged?

Perhaps they are going to start with ickle potholes?

Feels like a bold mood as even most of the electorate probably don’t think the roads were pristine under Tory rule. It is probably the most emblematic reminder of the impact of Tory spending cuts and austerity with the cost of rectifying now being massively more than what would have been spent on planned, preventative measures.

Always a strong election move, announce a policy which draws attention to your party's gross ineffectiveness the last time you were in power!

Seems how politicians work these days. New in post and everything all predecessors did is wiped clean (even if the new person was involved and had some responsibility for those decisions).

Even a move between posts expunges any negative aspects of track record.

It's just a complete failure to take any responsibility, another contribution to the contempt the public have for politicians. Seems to apply to all parties, all posts.
