Maybe true, but what it doesn't indicate is that Starmer's attempt to woo back the Reform minded is working.

Here's our resident Thatcherite, who apparently thinks the current Thatcherite PM is left wing. Feel free to comment when you have something useful to say @Stevo 666.

Not my problem if you can't face the facts.

When was that?

When I was old enough to get into mischief in the 70s we did respect the police. Not only were they just doing their jobs, and we knew we were up to no good, but they were locals. We knew where they lived and they knew where we lived. First port of call if caught was a knock on Dad’s door to have a chat. That usually meant a stiffer punishment than what plod could do.
Simpler times when everyone knew where they stood.

I could be the insurance implications bring this situation to a halt.

"Any changes to your policy sir?"

"Well, err, we do have a few arsonists, murderers, rapists staying with us for a few weeks"

Well that's nice and I'm glad you have had significantly more pleasant experiences with the police than I have over my 39 years of existence.
