Something nasty in the woodshed
Have you read your previous post #12583

You appear to be confused. I am not the SNP. And the comment I made is about counting - England votes for the govermnents Scotland gets, and Scotland's comparatively tiny number of votes are of no consequence in choosing who the occupant of No.10 is.

That's because there are more English voters, which is what I was attempting to point out to your Brother Of The Beast there. Counting.

No I'm not. I'm saying that we should have a say in it. Why should only the Scots have a say in whether England and Scotland stay in the union or separate?

And if Brexit was such a terrible thing, why are you so keen on Scotland doing a similar thing?

I'm not sure you even understand what 'The Union' is, do you? I don't understand (because you've not attempted to explain) why you think it should be England's decision, and you also don't seem to understand how referenda work.

For someone who asks so many, many questions, there appear to be many gaps in your comprehension. Which is presumably why you feel that Brexit & Scottish independence are similar.

Re: Scotland Independence
Just like for Brexit, with long term major impact changes that do tie future Governments to the change is it not reasonable to require some degree of "super-majority"?

I can't help thinking after being gung-ho for a referendum that allowed the hardest of hard Brexits based on an advisory vote with an infinitesimally tiny majority that's deep within the margin of error, it would be absolutely farking outrageous to suggest different rules should be applied to Scottish self-determination!

But there's no need to hold an unwinnable referendum when they can just keep saying no.

This is nonsense and no more valid than saying Devon and Cornwall doesn't get a say in the UK government.

Try answering my questions first rather than trying to be condescending. For clarity, here they are again:
1. Why should only the Scots have a say in whether England and Scotland stay in the union or separate?

2. And if Brexit was such a terrible thing, why are you so keen on Scotland doing a similar thing?

And for clarity as you seem to be struggling to understand or deliberately misreading, I didn't say it should be solely England's decision - I said we should have a say in the matter. No different from Scotland having a say, it it?
