You're going to run out of H, O, N & K in your Letraset really quickly if you keep up this habit.

Perhaps you could turn it into a drinking game instead... and that way, you'd be pretty fully qualified to be the next Secretary of War for Trump.

Government borrowing in 8 months this year £132 billion more than expected-no shît.

Will blow budget forecasts out of the water. Highest borrowing since post covid

Borrowing is up on almost all metrics, some figure not seen since 1960s

ONS seem to know more than you lot
https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/gove...e/bulletins/publicsectorfinances/november2025

Borrowing in the financial year to November 2025 was £132.3 billion; this was £10.0 billion (or 8.2%) more than in the same eight-month period of 2024 and the second-highest April to November borrowing on record (not adjusted for inflation), after that of 2020.

The current budget deficit - borrowing to fund day-to-day public sector activities - was £5.6 billion in November 2025; this brings the total current budget deficit in the financial year to November 2025 to £93.0 billion, which is £7.0 billion (or 8.1%) more than in the same eight-month period of 2024

Public sector net debt excluding public sector banks - a measure of the amount of money owed to the UK private sector and overseas, less any liquid assets held - was provisionally estimated at 95.6% of GDP at the end of November 2025; this was 0.3 percentage points more than at the end of November 2024 and remains at levels last seen in the early 1960s

Interesting appearance by Starmer being interviewed on C4 News yesterday. He managed to explain a large part of how Johnson was elected ... maybe demonstrated rather than explained. I'm sure whatever Starmer was saying was important but he was so un-engaging, so dull, I just didn't notice 90% of what he said (and I was alone without distractions). At one point I heard him comment about how this was a passion of his but then my mind just drifted away it was so dull.

Starmer's interview showed how the electorate pay no attention to such dull and un-engaging people and Johnson certainly was engaging, held your attention. But Starmer and nobody's listening, not holding anybodies attention.

And I still have no idea what Starmer was being interviewed about, that is is passion.

Each to their own. I'd rather have grey Major than charismatic BJ.

To me his performance highlighted how Johnson got elected -as people were listening to him whereas Starmer, however clever or right or sensible his speeches/interviews if he so dull nobody pays any attention and it's like he's not there. I don't see it as "right" or "wrong" just maybe i understand better how anomalies like Johnson get elected - people listen and react positively.

I see the PM role as that of a senior manager in a company, they have people reporting to them who specialise in their designated areas and as a manager it's not the PM role to determine what's done but rather to create an environment for those in the team to work optimally, to coordinate, etc. Instead our PMs seem to regard their entire party as just lobby fodder to pursue their personal agenda. So we get comments like "my Government is ..." where it's not the PM's Government's the electorates, the countries and it should be acting in their interests not the POM's personal agenda.
