Of course they were removed for the vast majority of pensioners

He's scrabbling to garner support. His own back bench were in revolt.

We all know it was the local elections that started the ball rolling

And a great result has been achieved. If only more politicians had the balls to say "you know what - I was wrong"

Get on, he was forced to do it, head off a major back bench revolt and try save something of his, let's face it, destroyed reputation.

He should quickly say the Waspi women should get their money too.

Does not take away the point that regardless off law if mocking islam has more severe consequences than mocking Christianity it really doesn'nt matter what the law says right?
Technically some neighborhoods called ghetto's in America also fall under the American law, but if you get shot for wearing red and encounter the lawlessness of such places the law isn't really going to help now is it?

Away and talk sh!te, again.

There are no laws governing the mockery of religion. Sharia Law isn't a thing in the UK.

Dunno what relevance you think gangs in the US has here to be honest.

There are lots of Shariah courts in the UK, and orthodox Jewish courts too. They are nominally voluntary and their decisions aren't legally binding, but they exist and are influential nonetheless.

I'm aware. This whole line of bullsh!t stems from the mythical idea that somehow mocking religion is a crime and we should be scared to do it.

It's not and we shouldn't.

We shouldn't be scared to but some religions are more scary to mock than others aren't they?

The authors of The Book of Mormon musical can put their name on their work but the author of Jesus and Mo doesn't for some reason ...

No. doubt it does, but, your claim was not that Mosques were attacked, but, that MOST attacks were on Mosques.

Yes, that's why many are anxious for police protection.

In our own country, the Finsbury Park Mosque attack has been the highest profile of recent years, but across the UK places of worship have been targeted, from arson attacks on mosques to neo-Nazi graffiti daubed on synagogues.

Highest profile does not mean that MORE mosques were attacked, does it?

I am not condoning attacks on ANY places of worship, just to be clear.

Nope. No religion is "scary to mock". Unless your jokes fall flat, which is the ultimate concern of every comedian.

If the author of Jesus and Mo doesn't want to identify themselves, that's up to them, and I suspect is a creative/artistic decision, rather than one made out of fear.

I tested. I just criticised Islam. No-one has arrested me.
Salman rushdie, Kurt westergard, Jean Cabut, Elsa Jeanne Cayat, Stéphane Charbonnier, Philippe Honoré, Bernard Maris, Mustapha Ourrad,Bernard Verlhac, Georges Wolinski just a little list i can easily make a screen filling post with people who have been killed or needed extra security for the rest of ther lives because they critisced Islam just because that you claim to get away with it doesn't make the problem non-existent

Cool list. Mostly made up of Charlie Hebdo victims.

Fundamentalist f*ckwits are gonna do what they're gonna do at the end of the day. Best not to be scared of them really, because that gives them power.
