You've got to keep the poor in their place, eh Stevo. None of this fairness crap; there's no such thing as 'society'; greed is good.

Lazy leftie stereotypes are so yesterday...

Is that so socialists can skim more off the bottom?

Which do you think is more in need? the socialists skimming off the bottom or the capitalists skimming off the top?

The top 1% have an accumulated wealth of 1.02 trillion pounds. 1% of that would be 102 billion pounds.
The bottom 10% have less than £15.4k less. If you have that 1% to the bottom 10% they would get £36,000 per household.
That would cost the top 1% just £360,000 per household. They would still have £3.2 million left.

I fail to see the problem with a tourist tax. Most European cities do it, as does the USA.

I agree,

Except not, when.....

The country is turning into a third world dump site.

You should really get out more.

Or at least broaden your horizons beyond what GBeebies, Farage, and Twitter (et al) tells you is happening.

Is the country perfect?

No, but then show me one which is.

Bank of England forecast wages will slow down

Rowntree foundation say earnings for the bottom 40% will fall by £700 per year

OBR say disposable income fall to zero

Resolution foundation say tax threshold will obliterate any wage growth for the poorest

Council tax going to rise 5%
Food bills up 4.5%
Energy up 10%
Water bills up 26%

JR foundation say those mortgages that are coming off fixed term will have to pay a further £1400 per year
Renters are in dire situation too

Starmers response we got to grow the economy!

What by saddling the country with more debt, less business confidence, skyrocketing immigration costs, sending money abroad to wealthy nations

You are sticking your head in the sand.

These costs, problems aren't going to get smaller.

You may not feel it yet, maybe you do, but it's going to get far worse

I'm really not.

As I said I'm well aware of the fact that the UK isn't perfect, but painting it out to be some dystopian Mad Max style wasteland is so far of the mark it's unreal.
