There will still be plenty of rental properties won’t there? After all, everyone loves a diverse portfolio.
Those rental properties need to be owned by somebody and if returns are too low ('cos costs are too high) then it's not a sensible/optimal investment. You can easily have a diverse portfolio without owning property.

I would vote for that.

Me too but they walked into the Tory trap of promising increase on the main taxes. It was complete stupidity as I think the majority of the electorate had come to accept that for things to improve it was necessary to raise more money. They may have lost a handful of the more marginal ex-Tory seats but they were always going to win a comfortable majority. They didn’t even need to say they were going to raise taxes just something along the lines of ‘we’re not ruling anything out until we’ve got a full picture of the state of the country’s finances’.

Rayner in hit water, slagging off second home owners, whilst using steps to reduce stamp duty on her 3rd property, whilst being registered to vote at all 3 locations, exemption her from council tax.

Moves are being taken to remove her from the electoral roll where she never resides

Who polices the electoral register and decides to remove people from the roll? Rayner has, as you'd expect, a home in her constituency and she uses a grace and favour' apartment in Admiralty Arch as her London home. If she chooses to spend her own cash on a flat in Brighton (Hove ectually!) that's her business. She won't be an MP for ever.

You can be on the electoral register anywhere you have a home. Offences are committed only if you vote in more that one constituency in a General Election.

I suspect the Home Office was caught with its pants down over the Epping thing and were far too late to the game in trying to intervene. The council might, or might not, win the case when it comes to trial; it was the interim injunction that came out of left field.

Yeah but Rayner is a working class lefty from Stockport, so she is supposed to live in a terraced slum. She should know her place and stop acting like a tory.
Stevo forgot to mention she also lives rent free.

It was more the point about her stamp duty avoidance activities rather than any class based stuff that so preoccupies lefties.

Would you do the same if fortunate enough to purchase a flat by the seaside and advised of the workaround by your lawyers?
