He didn't, he was pushed by milliband.

Besides, it's not as though Trump was asking UK to lead the assault. He wanted access to land miltary planes and use UK bases.

The embarrassing, we will send HMS Dragon came after Cyprus base was attacked. Exposing the complete unprepared situation of the British Navy.

Our enemies must be laughing their heads off. They could take over this country in dinghies.

Oh they are already!

In 100 years the UK will be mostly Muslim. Even Liz Truss is saying indigenous people are not having enough babies.

I'm conflicted here cos I'm Gen X so I can remember how sh1t it was in the 70s and early 80s and I remember the power cuts and Dad being on strike but I also remember him buying a house for 2k in 1972 and selling it for 120k in 1988 and all he had to do was live in it. And then I remember having to buy my first house in a slum area when interest rates were at 15% and the previous couple of decades of house price inflation has taken a 2 bed semi out of the reach of my fairly decent salary. So I have empathy for today's kids who will never own a house and are so totally disenfranchised that they think the lunatic fringe nutters like Zak Polanski are worth voting for cos he's gonna give them free sh1t. That is until I see that so many of them would rather sleep until lunchtime in their parents house and let immigrants (literally) wipe people's backsides for minimum wage because they can't be @rsed. I don't have any answers except to say that one of my kids who is in his 30s has worked his butt off and is doing ok because he didn't spunk what little money he had on a new iPhone every 18 months and a BMW on a PCP, so my real world sample.of one says it can be done.

where was that?

even in North East a 3 bed semi was £3,800 in 1967.

At present, there are places just around £100k https://www.rightmove.co.uk/propert...&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_BUY

or, if you have a little more: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/propert...&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_BUY

I'm not going to give too much away on here because I prefer to remain anonymous but it was in a fairly grotty part of the North of England that at the time still had quite a few woollen mills and a lot of heavy industry and engineering works. It wasn't a 3 bed semi either but hey if you don't believe me I really don't care, it just happens to be my actual life so maybe I know more about it than you?

No need to be touchy, I was genuinely interested, not attempting to trade "Hovis Advert Stories". I could have posted links to terraced ex-pit houses, but, I didnt think those from the leafy suburbs would consider them houses.
