Depends. "Normal" twitter is pretty reasonable, but MAGA territory is unhinged. Pretty much the same as any social media really.

It doesn't take long to understand the mindset of people who get taken in by some of the nonsense on there. Of the threads I occasionally flick through, they're usually proved to be completely misleading almost instantly, but the pileon from folks who just want to believe drowns that out.
This could be quite easily sorted without much effort, but that would destroy whatever value the platform has left.

Musk deliberately made it unusable for balanced/nuanced discussion by promoting the paid-for blue tick accounts to the top of every discussion. I stuck around for a bit, but was getting nothing of any value out of it, and even if I should be trying to understand the mindset of the MAGA nutjobs, decided that life's to short to waste braincells on them.

The beauty though, is the blue tick thing is reversible. However nobody would trust that it has actually been done, I know I wouldn't.
