There’s been no trial yet, let alone a conviction so that’s a bit premature!
All charges were dropped on 08/05/26.

Charges against whom?
Nicola Surgeon was never charged with any offences, so can't be her being referred to.

Plenty of time between now & May '26.
And with independence nudging towards 60% in recent polls, Glen Sannox disappointingly not doing a Titanic, Scotland's waterways & tap water not being comprised of 75% human diarrhoea, and publicly-owned ScotRail being broadly reliable, punctual & affordable - they're gonna have to do something!
not sure what any of your points have to do with Nicola Surgeon. She is not in power and not responsible for any of these things now

You may be correct if it was an audit / accountancy investigation, but its not it is a criminal investigation and evidence that is admissible in a criminal court is needed.Far be it from me to have to try & explain something to one of the great Understanders Of Scottish Politics - but she remains a highly emblematic public figure within the both the SNP and the broader Scottish independence movement.
Operation Branchform, as I'm sure you know, despite being the sort of investigation a halfway competent accountant could have done & dusted in 6 weeks, has dragged on for over 40 months with the constant threat of re-arrests & charges hanging over everyone who's been in the crosshairs, including Ms Sturgeon.
Obviously, I'm absolutely sure it's not for nakedly political reasons that it's been extended & extended, constantly jumping back into the headlines every time there's a sticky-looking moment for the Union in Scotland!

Innocent until proven guilty is significant and means authorities carrying out such criminal investigations have to follow all reasonable lines of enquiry that both point to and away from the guilt of the person being accused
When you are a caught high profile thief it could put a little bit of strain on the marriage perhaps. A leopard won’t change its spots.
A prosecution is coming so sorry about your heroes finding themselves in hot water.Who’s the thief?
The police have been investigating this for three and a half years now, with no conclusion reached or in sight. Murrell has been charged but is still waiting for a court date, if indeed there is even to be a prosecution. But we could have saved all the theatre, hassle and delays by just coming straight to you, obviously.
