Not just the Met I think but a concerted action by all forces, or at least all English forces, to 'wipe the slate clean'.
After the inquest verdicts on the Stephen Port murders the Met's institutional attitude to homosexual men needs dealing with. Various things recorded as being said in that case as well as the lack of curiosity and failure to join up dots echo exactly what Macpherson said when condemning the Met over the Lawrence case.
