The 'art' of relaxation.

It's been a busy old week (not for them🙄)

So taking some cues from the kitties, and having a day of mild pootling, indoors by the fire.

Some of my wonky pots have survived biscuit firing.
Now to learn about glazes, and to have a go at raku firing

E finished her RHS qualifications there as a mature student. They were about to start those buildings - wasn't it controversial because they had to demolish greenhouses?

Bikes are for riding and getting filthy.

Probs a bit after my time, but yes I think there were greenhouses there before.
Not sure what this replacement is - an indoor riding school??

For some reason us Ag students didn't seem to be very welcome in the horti department..
Unless we were doing crop trials .

I guess they thought we were a bit too unrefined and liable to go galumphing about breaking things.
(They may have had a point 🙄)

You're totally correct about the purposes of bicycles.

Dunno what it is. I recall that the college was under threat of closure at one time.

When E was there a lot of the students were gardening hobbyists with money and time to spare - so perhaps they brought in more money than yer actual farmers.

Dr Clark may be getting a bit self-referential in his old age (at least when I've seen him) but he's worth going to see, and he drags along some superb supporting acts.
