He, like a lot of modern artists, would turn pictures he was working on upside down in order to get a fresh view of them. I'd take the view that the orientation of most of Mondrian's later work isn't that important.
I'm sure he wouldn't of been that bothered...there again ?
I quite like the fact that were meant to think it was upside down,now it all makes sense !

Yeah, other than the "Lozenge" paintings I'd broadly agree with that, although from what I understand he was pretty particular about it.
