People get very agitated over weird stuff.

Why do people care so much about the content of other people’s pants.

Personally I don't care if someone who might need a tampon, i.e., a woman, uses a men's toilet, possibly because the queue for hers is too long. Women are rarely any danger to men, and not known to leave spy cams (an entire porn genre, as I just discovered when I googled it). However, when my wife uses facilities specifically meant for women, she wants there to only be women there. Sometimes the contents of other people's pants matters.

Men commit 98% of sexual offences so for some of us the contents of other people's pants, especially in spaces where privacy is needed, is highly relevant.

That sounds like an interesting stat. Got a source? I'm going to take a wild guess that statistically women are safer amongst other women than they are amongst men – particularly men who have no respect for boundaries.

I would love to see those stats. Are the 'legitimate concern crowd' men by any chance? If so you're basically saying it's being male that's the issue re women's safety. That's exactly why single sex spaces are necessary - because all men are equally men and there are no special subsets to whom safeguarding should not apply.

How do you suggest we identify the 'legitimate concerns' men in order to mitigate risk when they are around women and girls? Perhaps they could identify as 'not a legitimate concern person' ? Then women wouldn't have to worry I suppose.

Percentage of what? How does anyone reliably know the number of Trans People, or, the number of "legitimate concerns" people?

To make meaningful comparisons, wouldn't the percentage need to be number of domestic violence convictions per 1000 of each population?
