Trump redux - predictions?

Just that. What do you think is going to happen this time around?

He'll kick a lot of stuff back to individual states to deal with. He'll threaten big tarrifs (already started) just to get leverage. In short, lots of talk but not much done. It won't be as bad or as glorious as the US left and right imagine. No foreign adventures; lots of whining about Nato but not withdrawing.

It will be interesting to see where things are after a year or so. The economy, bureaucracy, and immigration are his big talking points, so he'll look to claim quick inroads with voters on those I expect.

I predict he'll find a way to cling to power in four years, directly or indirectly.

I think much of the next 4 years will be spent setting up Vance for the next 8.

It will be interesting to see what he does with Ukraine and Israel.
He talks a good game but I suspect he’s got no idea how to actually solve either problem.

I would wonder if trump may not the the person in control like he thinks

I would wonder if maybe other people are thinking of him as a great person to start things off
then let his plans go straight on heading for trouble

Then make a big announcement about hos the "Great Man" has given his all for the sake of the country
and it has been too much for him and now he needs to rest and take it easy

In the meantime this other person (with others behind him - VERY close behind him) will take over "for the sake of the country"
and trump - as President - will go to a nice comfy place to rest away from the Press and other such woke people

Now - clearly - this person could become President, I think not exactly sure of the exact process
but leaving trump with teh title gets rid of any problems regarding term limits in future

and keeps the MAGA faithful on side - maybe trump can issue regular bulletins approving of how teh new leader is doing - maybe he will even know about them!


and then the next election comes round and the new leader stands as President with the approval of The Great Man




Now - I have referred to the new leader as "he" - can;t believe a woman would be deemed suitable by the people choosing
the clear favourite is Vance - that is why he took the job I think
and that would leave him clear to lob "favours" at the trump family - who will be some of the people "right behind him" (probably with knives!)

but then Eric and DOn Jnr would also think they are contenders so who knows
probably NOT Ivanka - she seem to have better advisors and is likely to see the problems better - and maybe be cleverer!


Only an idea - if it all comes true I would be amazed - and worried!

I agree. Psychological factors within Trump (narcissism) are obvious, widely known and make him very easy to manipulate.

Being reported nude photos of her shown on Russian TV after Trump's victory. I've no idea about the truth but wuite a few reports.

I've not reflected on what that might do to Trump/Putin relations.

Vice President
Speaker of the House of Representatives
President pro tempore of the Senate
Secretary of State

then down through the various other secretaries until we get to Harrison Ford

As Niels Bohr and others have said, prediction is very difficult, especially about the future; so despite starting this, I'm sitting the prediction business out. I'm content to merely document whatever Trump artefacts that take my fancy, such as:
