It's why the frontline is called the 'meat grinder'. Putin has sent soldiers to their deaths will little concern. A bit like the British Donkey''s French and Hague et al in WW1.
Currently, the Russian losses is iro 1000 per month but they are not replacing them at the same rate. Hence the use of Africans sucked in by propaganda - that being that Russia is the great anti-imperialist.
Go figure. There's a video of a Ugandan who surrendered and (in very good English) described how he ended up there, how he was literally forced to sign a contract at gunpoint. How he was promised work as a cleaner or in factory but ended up on the frontline.
Putin does not care and as that becomes clearer closer to home, that spells the beginning of the end. Before, the propaganda could mask the failings but now the failings are becoming starkly apparent.
There is an intrinsic link between Putin's posturing* and progress (or lack of).
*The remnants of the hypersonic ICBM which was dropped in Lviv (as a warning shot to both Ukraine and the West) was gathered and the circuit boards, mechanisms and circuitry was a hotchpotch of 70's. 80's and 90's components. It was decrepit.
