You used an image the portray Putin as some kind of hero, and talking about victims off the Dombas ignoring simple facts like even today the dombas isn't flattened, very much in contrary to Ukrainian cities Russia invaded.
Pulling other conflicts in doesn't strengthen your argument, thy to uphold your original point instead of just adding more bullshit to the hot mess or just admit you're once again wrong.

No Russia agreed with new borders under Gorbachev, just because Putin retrospectively thinks ''i don't like that'' because he wants to see himself as Josef Stalin doesn't make it any more justified.

See this is a perfect intelligent response that the others couldn’t think of. I agree.
It was fun to see the usual suspects spit their venom though.

Milzy - when exactly did Argentina own the Falklands?
I think you'll find that other than the couple of weeks between them illegally invading and being kicked out, the answer is NEVER.

I didn’t say they owned them. While Argentina claims sovereignty based on inheriting the islands from Spain in the early 1800s, the UK has administered them almost continuously since 1833 and maintains a military presence. It’s much like Gibraltar we have that was ran by the Spanish a long time ago. Do you want to get picky? Australia should be owned by their native tribe. USA should be ruled by the Native American Indian tribes.

Correct. And the Falklands should be ruled by penguins.
Not gonna happen though.

Spain inherited its claim from France who made the first claim for the islands.

I suspect the main motivation is Government funding being funnelled into private corporations who will have vast safeguards and protection clauses should anything be "discovered". It's the profit/margins on the contracts not having anything useful at the end.

I suspect that the Putins and the Trumps will do very well out of it even if it is a failure.
One might presume the project is guaranteed to fail if Donnie is involved while he still manages to gain. Course par.

I have no idea why Putin is posturing in Geneva and potentially doing deals with Trump when his economy is in freefall and that his future is disappearing with him down some former soviet countries alleyway.
It's either putting a face on it as the 'superpower' has always done or it's simply denial of the facts.
The Special Military Operation has slightly gone over the 3 days and current estimates are now loss of 300sq km's of occupied territory in 12 days.
A Flamingo missile wiped out an ordnance and storage facility 1400km's inside Russia not 2 days ago and a 1 square KM fire broke out after a gas storage depot was hit without any resistance*..

*...at a slight tangent... Sources initially thought that the Flamingo missiles @$500,000 a pop was not good VFM when drones were far cheaper but it looks as though the Ukrainians waited until they had decimated air defence systems making the deployment of the Flamingo less of a risk.
It also means that Russian air defences are almost non-existent in the absence of Starlink, add Ukrainian destruction of military equipment.
The Russian armed forces are now relying on Telegram for communications but it's slow and intermittent. Not only that, Putin is closing it down on April 1st. They have not got a working replacement.
Russia is in deep sh*t. Putin is f*cked. Hopefully, he'll fall from a high window soon.
